MORTIMER: OBITUARY DOLPH MORTIMER

Dolph Mortimer, 87, Wonewoc, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 1969, in the Hillsboro Hospital after an illness of two weeks.

He was the son of John and Rhoda Mortimer and was born on May 25, 1882 in the Town of Woodland. He was a Valton area farmer and a lifelong resident of this area.

On June 30, 1908, he was united in marriage with Millie Stowe at Ironton. To this union, five children were born. Mrs. Mortimer preceded her husband in death on December 11, 1963.

Surviving are four sons, Ronald and Walter, Ironton; Duane, Columbus; and Dean, Kankakee, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Arnold Blakeslee, Middleton; a foster son, Elmer Gaedtke, Nashau, N.H.; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday in the Valton Wesleyan Methodist Church with Rev. LeRoy Drake and Rev. Jerry Rott officiating. Interment was in the family lot in the Valton Cemetery. The Thompson Funeral Home, Wonewoc was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were James Hainstock, Harry Jordon, Isadore Miller, Ernest Rott, Archie Shore and Kenneth Judd, Jr.
