Margaret B. Wunsch

Margaret B. Wunsch, age 82, of 2515-37th St., Two Rivers, died unexpectedly early Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004 at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2004 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish, Holy Redeemer Site, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William G. O’Brien, with entombment to follow in Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Highway 310, Manitowoc.

Margaret was born April 6, 1921 in Montana, a daughter of the late Jay and Mayme (Welch) Clark. She attended schools in Stevens Point, graduating from P.J. Jacobs High School with the class of 1938. She then furthered her education at the Central State Teachers College in Stevens Point, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in home economics in 1942. Margaret then taught home economics for two years at Rio High School in Rio, Wis. On June 17, 1944, she married Melvin Wunsch in San Diego, Calif. Margaret was a member of the Washington High School Quarter Century Club, and the facility wives group. She was also a member of the Ladies of St. Peter the Fisherman, the Two Rivers Senior Citizens, and a former member of the college orchestra, where she played the violin. She enjoyed knitting and sewing for her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband: Melvin; four daughters and three sons-in-law: Jean Klein, Phoenix, Ariz.; Linda and Tim Mahar, Satellite, Fla.; Luanne and Michael Soliwoda, Black Creek; Trudi and Don Pabst, Wind Lake; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Keith Wunsch, Sheboygan Falls; Mark and Carol Wunsch, Cedarburg; Greg and Debbie Wunsch, Milford, N.H.; eight grandchildren: Danielle (Ryan) Weed, Melissa Klein, Nicole Soliwoda, Jason Wunsch, Jessica LaRocque, Matthew Soliwoda, Lauren Wunsch, and Cassie Mahar; and one great-grandchild: Gabriel Weed. She is further survived by a brother and sister-in-law: Forest (Sue) Clark, Stevens Point; and two sisters and two brothers-in-law: Edna (Ted) Eller, Wheatridge Colo.; Jeanette Clark, Stevens Point; and Donald (Virginia) Wunsch, Wausau.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gary Wunsch in 1971.

Friends may call at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, Holy Redeemer Site, Two Rivers after 9 a.m. on Wednesday until the time of mass at 10:30 a.m. There will be no visitation this evening.

Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, is assisting the Wunsch family with funeral arrangements.
