Mr. Fischer was born in Braunschweig, Germany, December 11, 1851. He came to Dane county with his parents when he was three years of age and has resided here continuously since. At the time of his death he owned three large farms. He was a member of the German Lutheran church at Hope, from where the funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday. A short service will be held at the house at 1 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Blooming Grove cemetery. He leaves his wife, six daughters, Mrs. Charles Fregien of Racine, Mrs. Arthur Osborn of Madison, and the Misses Mary, Alice, Mathilda and Emma Fischer, living at home, and five sons, Henry, living on a farm in Blooming Grove, Joseph, residing on a farm in Burke, and George, John and Walter, living at home.
