Leonard R. FOCHS, 62, of Middleton, died Tuesday May 8, 2001 at his home.
Funeral services were held Friday at St Joachim's Catholic church, Pittsville, with Rev. James BENZMILLER officiating. Burial was in St Joachim's parish cemetery.
Leonard was born March 10, 1939 in Marshfield to Leo and Marion (BEVER) FOCHS. Leonard graduated in 1957 from Maryheart High School, Pittsville. He married Barbara KROSTAG May 5, 1962 in Marshfield. He was employed as an auto mechanic in Wisconsin Rapids at Steele Motors, Dahlke Auto and Mark Motors. Later he became a factory distributor for Kirby vacuum cleaners in Watertown, Madison and Middleton, retiring in 1995.
Leonard is survived by his ex-wife Barbara KUTZ of Wautoma; dear friend Betty VROMAN of Middleton; children, Vicki (Dennis) ZABAWA of Plover, Jowell (Joseph) LECHER, Roxanne (Steven) OSTROWSKY and Cheryl (Andrew) POTTER, all of Merrimac; nine grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Leon FOCHS of Pittsville, Darlene (Jerome) FISCHER of Milwaukee, Luella (Erv) OTTELEIN of Sturdevant, Lawrence (Mary) FOCHS of Oconomowoc, Mary Ann (Raymond) KRAJEWSKI of Adams, Leroy (Darlene) FOCHS of Chetek, and Virjean (Ken) HEINTZ of Marshfield.
Len was preceded in death by two grandsons, David ZABAWA and Dustin FOCHS-SLACK.
